Today outside there was a storm raging (as most Dutchies may know) I always find it very intriguing storms, a powerful invisible wind, dark clouds covering the entire sky, and the howling terrifying sound that holds us in our grips. Even though there was a big storm outside there was also one inside.
A storm wakes us up, it cleanses in a fierce way, it makes us focus on things that matter for what we really believe in and let go of what doesn't add or fit in our lives no more. An inner storm is rough, it can last for days, weeks, months or even years. And yet if we would lift our head and be no longer focussing on the damage and instead look up to the sky and see the sunlight peeking through the clouds, a glance of hope. Then it will not be long, and healing can take place...
.
As an inspiration for the mighty storm inside and outside, I created this painting and poem called: Uncover
"Let the storm rage through our souls
Let it uncover the earth
where the seeds of our dreams
reside in the cradle of birth
Let the rain mingle with the dirt
that is streaming out of the skies
Like a puddle, it forms in our souls
and it reflects the sun in our eyes."
